Kwomais Park - Family Style Wedding
When I first met with Lauren and David I was a bit worried as David is a chef and cooking for a chef is always a challenge, but we quickly hit it off and immediately started talking about menu ideas. The ceremony took place in the beautiful Kwomais Park under a canopy of trees, and the young couple said “I-do” surrounded by close family and friends. The carefully chosen plentiful dinner served family style was a big success with everyone. After we served the naked berry cake there were tearful speeches and toasts and then it wasn’t long before the entire party was dancing up a storm, and the energy was vibrant and contagious.
Finding a caterer was definitely the most important aspect of our day as the groom is a chef – the food has to be remarkable! Our first meeting with Simone felt like coffee with a friend, her passion and charisma made hiring The Rustic Gourmet a no brainer for us. Our guests still talk about the incredible food and service. Simone helped with all the details from working with the rental company to helping us decide on rough timelines for our big day. Rustic Gourmet went above and beyond for us in all aspects, they are so much more than a catering company and wow do they make some amazing food!

Menu Style:  passed canapés, antipasto station, family style dinner & dessert station

Large rustic wooden boards layered with prosciutto & salamis, local cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit, pickled veggies, house made parmesan thyme crackers, fig jam, toasted walnuts, dried figs & house made cranberry & pumpkin seed baguette

  • rosemary crusted jumbo prawns with fresh herb aioli
  • caramelized onion & parmesan filled wild mushrooms
  • tangy lemonade & lemon infused water

Grilled wild sockeye salmon sides with fresh herb aioli

Fresh herb and lemon marinated chicken skewers

Grilled Mediterranean vegetable platter with eggplant, zucchini, peppers, carrots, onions, mushrooms & asparagus

Roasted beet salad with julienne red onion & chevre finished with a light orange vinaigrette

Orzo salad with sundried tomatoes, caramelized onions, marinated artichoke, kalamata olives & fresh basil

Fresh organic greens with local peaches, red peppers & toasted almonds

Fresh house made bread with salty butter
