The Rustic Gourmet was founded on a passion for fabulous food and the importance of celebrating life’s moments with family and friends. Founders, Simone Hurwitz and Enrico (Kiko) Campani (partners in life and in business), head up the team. Simone brings years of experience in the industry, inspiration from her vast travels, diverse culinary heritage and unapologetic passion for seasonal, fresh, flavourful food. Enrico brings his rich Italian culinary heritage, contagious outgoing personality and creative aesthetic.
Simone and Kiko started the company in 2008 after moving from Italy to White Rock. Their relocation to Fort Langley, at the foothills of the plentiful Fraser Valley, has made it easy to sustain their farm to table philosophy. They strive to seek out the freshest local and seasonal products, partner with local farmers and artisans, and make environmentally sustainable choices to create food that nourishes the soul.
